1st Area

24 March 2014

Dear Family and Friends,

I'm here in Kettering Ward, Northampton Stake. :) My companion is Sister Loveland from Idaho. Not from Boise but from Blackfoot. ;)
She's so amazing! Sorry Meg, Joy and Em but I've got a new best friend. :D
My area's like in Puerto Princesa Zone, more specifically in Sta. Monica Branch, like in Sicsican and Irawan. Yep, I'm in a countryside! Yes, probinsya ang peg. Whooop! :)

Btw, you can send me letters/packages on our flat, this is the address:

Sister Lorelei Ordanza
#39 Union Street
Kettering, Northamptonshire
England NN16 8JR
United Kingdom

The members are so amazing. They feed us every night. Yes Mom, like in The Errand of Angels movie. Woah. So true. Don't worry, we don't have a car so we walk almost 10 hours everyday and I'll burn everything. Hopefully. :D

Guess what'll be the BEST birthday present so far? Yeah, we'll have a baptism on the 29th, my birthday! Woot wooooot!!!

My first week's really awesome. My body hurts. ( Kung may Alaxan lang, nilaklak ko na rin lahat, Sister Marcon.) Haha. And I froze, I mean, the weather's not that great for me. Ha.

Last Wednesday, on our way here in Kettering after our meeting in London, while on the train, we randomly sit with a couple nearby. The guy's an Englishman and the girl's a Filipina! It's so amazing. We've taught them the whole ride and they even agreed to meet with us again and she said she'll cook Filipino food for us. Yayyy. :D

Our work's doing great. I'm so excited to work everyday. We're working really really hard but we're still having fun. :) I love every minute of it.

There's also a Filipina on the ward! Yesssssss! Wohoooo!

Anyways, I would like to share this inspiring message from President Hinckley:

Don't be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. Accentuate the positive. Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with a great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.

I hope you guys are doing great as well! Send me letters. (Thirsty missionary.) :D

Love love love.

Off to the battle field!!!!!

19 March 2014

Dear Family and Friends,

We're allowed to email just for five minutes only so this will be really a short email.
I'm sorry!

Two week's finally over here in the MTC. I'm off to London Mission!
I'm just gonna tell you about our street contacting in Piccadilly, Manchester last week. It was the scariest thing that ever happened in my whole life. I don't know what and how to speak with the people.

But yeah, this is the Lord's work and as we fully rely on Him, He will bless us.
You might be facing lots of trials right  now but don't try to avoid it. Slow down. Move with steadfastness with Christ and He will direct your ways.

Mataba na ako! Joke lang. Dalawang beses pa lang ako nakakain ng kanin dito! :(

I've realised that I look awkward and horrible on the pictures that I've taken so, I'm not gonna  send my pictures. :p jk

On Monday will be my regular PDay though!

I love you all.

Much love,
Sister Ordanza

P.S
Tell my Mama to email me. :(

P.P.S
Please ask Emily Rodriguez and @QuirkyMormon if they have their mission calls already. Sorry for bad spelling and grammar! Can't type like this just for five minutes.

Til next week!

1st WEEK: CHECK!

12 March 2014

Dear Family and Friends,

I'm doing great here! Except for the fact that I can't speak English that well. Kind of frustrating sometimes especially when me and my companion are teaching our investigators. So, almost all of us are from the different parts of the world. Like, Chile, South Africa, Germany, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Spain, United States, Denmark, Hungary, Belgium, Dem. Rep. of Congo, France and Zimbabwe.

Anyways, I thought I'm gonna be here for six weeks because of the language but it turned out that I'll be here for two weeks. Dude, TWO WEEKS?!!!!!!!!! I'll be in the field on March 19th.

My nose bleeds a lot due to the weather I guess. (Yung moment na pati sipon mo dugo na!) Funny, but true.

I've tons of pictures in here. LIKE TONS. But the saddest part, aside from my creepy face, is that I don't have an SD card reader/USB. Ugh.

I promise to buy one when I'm in London though! I PROMISE!!!!!

I'm learning lots of things here. I love it.
(Medyo advantage po ang pag-attend ng missionary prep at Insti classes dahil saulo ko na po agad ang Your Purpose at D&C 4. :))

Tomorrow, we'll be on the streets downtown in Manchester to find investigators. I'm kind of excited and scared. But we'll see that! I'll tell that to you on my next email. :)

For sisters who are preparing to serve, has a desire or just thinking of it, here's one for you from Elder Holland;

First of all, I want you to be proud you are a woman. I want you to feel the reality of what that means, to know who you truly are. You are literally a spirit daughter of heavenly parents with a divine nature and an eternal destiny.

Be a woman of Christ. Cherish you esteemed place in the sight of God. He needs you. This Church needs you.I say to you what the Prophet Joseph Smith said more than 150 years ago: "If you live up to your privileges, the angels cannot be restrained from being your associates."

The Book of Mormon is blue.
The Church is true.
I love all of you.

Til next week!

~Sister Ordanza

I love all of you!

Oh hey, it's raining...

7 March 2014

Hello Friends and Family,

This is just a quick email to tell you that I safely arrived here in Manchester! Yes, as expected, I just experienced my first rainfall here. Haha. And  it's 10 degrees Celsius! Woah!

My companion's Sister Schmidt, she's from Leipzig Germany. She speaks Deutsch VERY WELL. ;) We belong to the Nephi District and we're the only sisters in there, we got six elders btw.
We're seventeen at the MTC right now and we are all from fifteen different countries! Isn't it amazing?!

I'll send pictures this coming PDay. I promise!

Mahal ko kayo!

-Sister Ordanza

P.S
I don't have Ana's email address. Sorry!
